Scientists, doctors, soccer players, Youtubers, a hockey player, a photographer, a singer, a performer, a baker, a veterinarian, and a teacher. A surprise message in a game of hangman. We will start the Milestones End of Grade test on Wednesday. In preparation we are playing jeopardy and doing other activities to review what we have covered so far this year. Today in math we reviewed fractions and students took home some practice for homework. The math homework is not a grade, so please take the opportunity to help your child one on one with any concept they with which they may be struggling. Due to testing, we will not have spelling homework this week.
From Wednesday April 13-Tuesday April 19 our lunchtime will be at 11:39 (Table 2). Because of testing, we will not have specials on Wednesday or Friday. On days that we miss specials, and after testing, we will have a second recess. Please make sure that your student is well rested and has a good breakfast on testing days. If your child is nervous, just remind them that the test is all about things that they have already learned this year. We are having the ice cream party to celebrate learning our multiplication facts this Friday! I would really appreciate it if several people could volunteer to bring in a topping. Here are some ideas: M&Ms, a jar of cherries, pretzels, mini cookies, chocolate sauce, strawberry sauce, whipped cream, chopped fruit like strawberries, bananas, or peaches, marshmallows, graham crackers, candy bar minis, etc. (no nuts please!) Thank you!!!
Students may also bring Valentine's cards to share during the ice cream party. (23 students) Aydin, Francisco, Hunter, Clayton, Julienne, Annabella, Leah, Hope, Ryder, Lowen, Ethan, Paul, Mira, Alex, Emily, Saif, Julian, Carlos, Anesia, Ezzie, Riley, Gabby, and Dylan Dear Parents,
This year our school is participating in the “Gimme 5 for Education” campaign to raise funds for the Cobb Schools Foundation! A portion of these funds will also benefit our school. All students who donate will be entered into a drawing to win 2 Braves tickets! The Cobb Schools Foundation is the only non-profit organization that supports all our schools, staff & students in Cobb County School District. All funds collected will directly benefit our schools through Foundation supported scholarships, grants and programs for our schools, staff & students. Help us reach our goal of 100% participation, please make a $5 tax-deductible contribution and return it to school today! Payment envelopes were sent home on February 4th. |
