Happy Monday!
The students have three fun days ahead! We are going to do some fun (holiday themed) review in math and start a new writing piece on How to Make a Gingerbread House. Students will also go to the media center to get books for the break (please make sure books are not left at grandma and grandpa's house) and we have signed up for a holiday themed lightbulb lab! We have our classroom holiday party on Tuesday (12/20) at 1pm-2pm! Everyone should have recieved an email from Nathaniel's mom with a sign up genius. More importantly- there will be NO HOMEWORK this week! The only thing that students have is their Decemeber Reading Challenge. They have decided as a class that they would like to have 100% participation on. If students all do the reading challenge they will vote on either lunch and movie or extra recess. *If any of your students have thrown away or lost their challenge and wish to complete it, please email me before Wednesday so that I can get them a new one ([email protected]). Dress up reminders: 12/20: Holiday Footwear 12/21: PJ DAY! (Please wear appropriate shoes with your PJs)

At Addison we take Attendance seriously. The classroom in each grade level that has the best percent attendance will be recognized with playground equipment. The classroom winners will be recognized during announcements. The winners will also be displayed on the cafeteria bulletin board. In addition, we will also recognize classrooms that have had the best overall attendance during a 9 week grading period. The students in these classrooms will receive a Partners in Ed. treat from Mr. Cohen. Our class won the attendance award in 3rd grade for the month of November and we chose bubbles to play with on the playground! We are so proud! Keep up the great attendance!
