At the Brook and Branch puppet show about Habitats today, Hope asked a question that the presenters couldn't answer. They did promise to find the answer and send it. I received this email after we went home. Here is the answer to your question Hope!
Email from Ms. Angie with Brook and Branch: Could you pass this along to Hope to answer her question if the Alabama Hog Sucker is a suckerfish. Thanks for the great question Hope! “Sucker fish” is the name of a family of different types of fish. There are lots of different types of sucker fish. One type is a Hog Sucker that is named for its hog shaped mouth. Under that is the Alabama Hog Sucker, which was first found in Alabama. So yes, the Alabama Hog Sucker is a type of Sucker Fish! Thanks for asking questions that make me think too! Ms. Angie
